Wikidot: Interesting Quirks
Yesterday, I encountered a rather unusual Wikidot quirk — the underscore page name. Initially, I assumed that underscores (_) would be treated the same as hyphens (-) which simply gets stripped. Instead, you can create an underscore page:
Underscore Page: http://jxeeno.wikidot.com/_
Hyphen Page: http://jxeeno.wikidot.com/- (gets redirected to root)
This is probably because of the way Wikidot handles hidden pages. Because hyphens at the end of URLs like /test_ simply get redirected to test. Are there any use cases? Probably not. Just an interesting find.
